Secretary General Ed Brown to Visit USA

Our busy Secretary General has set aside two weeks in October to visit Dallas and Houston. In Dallas, he will participate and speak at the CAAP Network event “Praying for ALL the Persecuted: A Global Gathering” on October 24–25. He will remain in the city until October 29 to meet with various congregations and Christian groups. After that, he will travel to Houston and be there until November 5. 

As for what people can expect to hear from Ed, he says:   

“I will be talking about the challenges faced not only by our brothers and sisters in Christ, but also by their Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Ahmadiyya, Bahai and even atheist neighbors. The same mechanisms used to oppress Christians are often used against people of other faiths as well.” 

He adds:  “I can also offer practical insights on how to strengthen and protect religious minorities. And, of course, I will be sharing stories of faith that can inspire and bring hope.” 

We recognize that the struggle for religious freedom is something all Christians should care about.

Why is Stefanus Alliance establishing a branch in the US? 

“We recognize that the struggle for religious freedom is something all Christians should care about,” says Ed.   

“As a small Norwegian organization, we have accomplished quite a bit with limited resources. We have a strong case! And we believe that by partnering with the American church, we can achieve even more —both by helping those who are persecuted and by sharing stories of faith to strengthen the church in the US,” Brown concludes.
